We’re always on the hunt for quirky, off-the-beaten-path watches, and this one is a true standout!
What we have here is a Rolex Datejust with a twist—a reference 6527 in 18k yellow gold, featuring a hand-finished “Bark” texture reminiscent of the rugged elegance of tree bark. To complement this unique case, Rolex paired it with a stunning wood dial, a bold design choice that emerged from the experimental spirit of the 1970s.
The 24mm case remains in great condition, fitted with a President-style 18k gold bracelet, featuring the matching Bark finish, solid end links, and a clasp stamped “1 70”. It comfortably fits wrists up to 16.5 cm. The wood dial, free of lume, is beautifully preserved, enhancing the watch’s organic appeal.
The 1970s were a wild time for design—think disco, platform shoes, shag carpets, and bold color palettes. This Datejust embodies that era perfectly, making it a true conversation piece.
Don’t miss out on this iconic vintage Rolex—a testament to the daring, artistic spirit of the ’70s!
