In 1819, François Constantin joined the business, leading to the name Vacheron et Constantin, which was later streamlined to Vacheron Constantin in 1970. At hand, we have a lovely 31 mm ultra-thin dress watch in 18k yellow gold, featuring a flat case with straight lugs and an elegant winding crown topped with a blue cabochon. The star of this piece is the open worked/skeletonized and hand-engraved movement. There is almost no dial visible—and the portion that is seen is tastefully set with a double row of diamonds, done with elegance and without being overly flashy, in our opinion.
The ultra-thin, hand-wound caliber 1006 has been meticulously hand-engraved on all bridges and finely finished throughout, in typical Vacheron Constantin fashion. The watch features simple hands without lume and no second hand, which enhances its calm and “tranquil” aesthetic. It is fitted with a thin, original Vacheron Constantin leather strap and the original 18k gold VC pin buckle. This fine Vacheron dress watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
