We have always loved the 16700 for its thinner case, which sits so well on the wrist. Interestingly, it was the last of the GMT-Masters before the GMT-Master II—with its independent 24-hour hand—was launched (although both models were available simultaneously for a period).
The drilled-lug-hole case is in excellent condition, with thick and even lugs and crown guards. The Pepsi insert has no major defects and features a beautifully faded look we always appreciate; the blue turned to a light blue “washed “ colour and the red to a pink-ish hue.
The dial is in fantastic condition, featuring lovely tritium lume. The Oyster bracelet, reference 78360, is also in great condition, with end links marked 501B and a clasp stamped R3.
The watch comes with its original punched warranty paper, indicating a sale in 1993 in Italy, as well as the original paper holder, booklet, and Rolex box. This fine Gmt -master is fully serviced by our watch maker and is good for upcoming years.
