Ploegendienst – Geen Titel

NO TITLE. The third album by Ploegendienst. The Best Band of the Netherlands is back. Back with a new album. Album number 3. NO TITLE, all caps. Historically, the third album is always a tough one. With the first, they proved they were there; with the second, the band confirmed themselves. After that, basically anything is possible. But how punk is ‘everything’? For NO TITLE, Ploegendienst went into the studio with producer Kabul $lim. A young producer from Amsterdam who produced the Dio album VLUGTLAAN (2025), among others. Fresh ears. Someone without punk baggage. Perfect for the band with an insane amount of punk baggage. And so a very fresh new record emerged on which anything was possible. No collaborations this time. Instead, ballads, punk songs, post-punk; even grunge is back. And what could be punker than that? It was important not to speak too politically on behalf of the group, but no one needs to think that the truth is being swept under the rug on Ploegendienst album number 3. An album about hot sex and discrimination. About true love, death, and identity. A fever dream in which the boundaries of good taste have been pushed. A patchwork of emotions and styles for all of the Netherlands to warm themselves under while bickering with one another. The Best Band of the Netherlands is back.
