Behind the blinds is time…

This highly unusual watch is from “Les Historiques Collection”, which was a modern take on the original Jalousie watch from the 1930s, as you can see in the largely Art Deco design.

The watch remains in really incredible condition, with clear hallmarks on the 26x30mm red gold case. The unusual element on this watch are shutters or blinds, which are operated by a sapphire cabochon button. When pressed the shutter turn by 90 degrees to allow the user to see the cream dial with blued hands. You can read more about this watch in our article on unusual watches here.

The watch comes with an archive extract from Vacheron and is fitted with the original strap and red gold buckle. The manual wind Vacheron & Constantin movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
