The Daytona needs no introduction as an important part of the Rolex story and maybe one of the most successful chronographs ever.
Some of our favourites are the Zenith-era Daytonas that ran from 1988 to 2000. We love the small details that make these watches so collectible, such as this watch from the last run of the 16520’s production in 1999 featuring the Mk8 dial.
We are delighted to offer this black dial version dating to 1999 in beautiful original condition.
The case is good as is the bezel.
The Mk8 dial is lovely and has luminova lume and the ‘6’ in the hours register, on the bottom sub dial, is the correct way up.
The splash of red for DAYTONA completes this iconic watch. The original and correct solid link Oyster bracelet, ref 78390a, is in great condition with a clasp stamped ‘X 4’ and 803b endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
