Audemars Piguet Squared Dresswatch in 18k Yellow Gold Double Signed Türler

There is something wonderfully elegant about this “simple “ Dresswatch Audemars Piguet in solid 18k yellow gold. No fuss, no unnecessary decoration — just beautiful proportions, a lovely dial and that unmistakable feeling of old-school Swiss watchmaking.

This example measures 28 x 28 mm and has an ultra-thin 18k yellow-gold case. Despite its compact dimensions, it wears larger than you might expect, helped by the generous 20 mm fitted leather strap, which gives the watch a really nice presence on the wrist.

The vertical brushed dial is beautifully understated, with applied gold stick markers, crisp black printing and no lume. Simple gold stick hands complete the clean, almost architectural look.

But the real collector detail is down on the dial: the second signature of Türler. Founded in Biel in 1883 by brothers César Alexander and Jean Henri Türler, the firm grew into one of Switzerland’s most respected retailers, opening its famous Zürich store at Paradeplatz in 1907. During the mid-20th century, prestigious watchmakers supplied watches with retailer-signed dials for important clients and markets.

These double-signed examples have become particularly desirable with collectors today.

And it is easy to see why. The Türler signature adds just enough mystery and provenance without taking anything away from the wonderfully clean AP design.The watch is powered by the legendary and manual woundcal 2001 ultra thin and has been fully serviced by our watch maker.
