The Style 36, the second skate shoe ever made by Vans, was launched in 1977. It was the first Vans shoe to feature the iconic Sidestripe™ (also known as the ‘Jazz Stripe’), and the model would secure a firm place in shoe history. The Style 36 was rebranded as the Old Skool™ in the early 90s before celebrating its 30th anniversary and officially becoming a Vans Classic.
