Mich – Chair

The new MICH releases on April 4th. An album of more of the same. Wet snow in spring. Rain at the picnic, a dead lamb in the meadow. You understand: MICH has spring fever. The fourth album is called Chair, and was once again made in complete isolation from one another. Without consultation and without explanation; MICH remains the least communicative band in the Netherlands and beyond. The sound of the record is sultrier, more complex, and more layered than the previous albums. The bone-dry production serves the melodies entirely. The lyrics deal with growing older and staying the same, resistance to change and adaptation. All of this is delivered with the familiar resistance to the ubiquitous enthusiasm that permeates the contemporary world. Chair is released in the spring, when the crows are laying their eggs.
