The vintage Rolex Datejust is a classic watch with classic proportions that is hugely versatile and always a winner with collectors. This reference 1601 is pure vintage cool with a slow-set date and cool 70s dial. The dial has two interesting elements to note. The first is that the watch is fitted with a so-called pie-pan dial and the second is that the dial has sigma markings either side of the ‘T SWISS T’ which signifies that the hour markers are made from 18kt gold; in this case white gold. The case remains in outstanding condition, with strong lugs, the plots have taken a nice cream colour. The Jubilee bracelet reference 62150H is in very good condition and has a clasp stamped ‘H’ and is fitted with 555 endlinks. The watch has been checked by our watchmaker.
