Full Gilt, Full Gloss & Full Cool
The vintage Datejust is one of the most versatile and interesting watches a collector can buy – the sheer amount of variations is staggering! This example is a desirable reference 1600 with smooth bezel and glossy black gilt dial. The dial is made in the exact same way as gilt dial sports watches. The finish is beautiful and the ‘door stop’ hour markers add an additional level of interest. The hands and hour markers are in gold, which combined with the gilt text on the dial gives the steel watch a warmth and a classic vintage Rolex look. The case remains strong and the smooth bezel has a crisp edge. The USA Jubilee bracelet is in great condition with 50 endlinks. In summary, this is a very cool watch! The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
