The rarest of the polar express…
The white dial Explorer 2 has always been an interesting and unusual Rolex sports watch due to its bright white dial.
This is the rarest of the 16570s due to the dial that is signed only “SWISS” at the bottom that was made for only a couple of years.
The dial remains in flawless condition with black applied hour marker surrounds with matching black hands and crisp black text. The 40mm case remains in really great condition and the fixed bezel is in superb condition, with the black paint still intact in the markers and numbers.
These watches have a great look for summer and whilst once they were one of the forgotten about references, these pieces are now very popular with collectors. The 78790 bracelet is in very good condition with a clasp stamped ‘X 1’ and 501b endlinks. The watch has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
